Motif
There are surely some persons involuntarily fascinated with a female expression which is beyond the mere beautiful-woman picture.
A theme is an eysight. Takahashi says that a female face is a motif which have impact mostly.
When he was in NY he was influenced by the ukiyo-e prints and got a hint
of his major motif.
Every face brews "something elegance, delicate and sometimes mysterious." .
A picture is made by his imagination and sensitivity. There is no model
which is likely to be. Many hours are most spent in the stage of a design. If decided once, a
color is fixed soon. Original accessories and a hairstyle follow later.
The hairstyle or lipstick color differs for every image of every woman.
There are some persons arrested by the impact. There are some persons who escape.
However it is sure that these arts have the much more strength than the
beautiful portrait which we see everywhere. |

Profile of Senko Takahashi
Born in 1966 in Tokyo.
At the time of a high school student, he had already ability of drawing
and participated in some exhibitions.
He enterd Tama Art University. (One of the most famous art universities
in Japan.) At the university he mastered the technique of airbrush.
A turning point visits simultaneously with the graduation from the university.
Unexpectedly, he was employed to the photograph design studio in New York.h
And for four years in NY. It was the hard working time for him. There
was no spare time which enjoys NY life.
But this experience in the United States was a big step to build a strong
character which was necessary for a young artist. To be taugh mentally
is the most necessary part to become an artist today he thinks.
Back to Japan, many pictures has been purodecing by the grown artist.
